SENIOR GAMEPLAY NETWORK ENGINEER
Traega Entertainment is looking for a seasoned Gameplay Network Engineer at the Senior level or higher, to help bolster our current development efforts. This is a full-time position in the Nashville, Tennessee area working on a new PC/Console franchise.
We understand that the lingering effects of the COVID-19 outbreak may delay the ability to relocate for some candidates. The safety of our employees and their families come first. We continue to monitor the situation, the expectation is that you will come and work with us in our new and spacious studio in the Nashville area.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Work on core network technologies based on game design.

Analyze/enhance existing features and support the multiplayer designers using them.

Work with other engineers to plan and implement data syncing across different networking environments.

Be self-directed, self-critical and prioritize your own work.

Follow adopted design/development methodologies, patterns and toolsets.

Pay attention to usability, maintainability and performance of code.

Active team player, contributing to team success.

Iterate solutions based on broad feedback.

Effective communication in a multi-discipline team environment, translating technical jargon to non-technical audiences.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
5+ years Network Programming experience in C/C++ within the Game Industry.

Solid understanding of low level network protocols such as TCP and UDP.

Solid understanding of client/server architectures.
-
Experience with Multithreading.

Experience profiling, optimizing and problem-solving code.

Familiarity with Unreal Engine's Client/Server model, RPCs, Actor-Replication, etc…

At least one shipped title that spanned multiple platforms.
