Job Description


Traega Entertainment is looking for an experienced User Interface Developer to bridge gameplay from the engine to the player. As a UI Developer, you will be passionate about the user experience by championing the design and art directions to make the user interactions the best they can be. As Traega Entertainment is an independent studio, where developers are expected to wear many hats, you also bring competencies in related sub-disciplines enabling you to contrite to product development in areas outside the core job responsibilities.


This is a full-time position in the Nashville, Tennessee area working on a new PC/Console franchise.


We understand that the lingering effects of the COVID-19 outbreak may delay the ability to relocate for some candidates. The safety of our employees and their families come first, and although we continue to monitor the situation, the expectation is that you will come and work with us in our new and spacious studio in the Nashville area.


  • Work closely with engineering, design and art to implement UI using UE4/5

  • Collaborate with design to ensure UX is the best experience for our product

  • Collaborate with art to ensure quality and consistency in Style Guide

  • Harvest and implement provided art content to support UI functionality

  • Define and own UI workflows across disciplines

  • Build UI’s for player facing and developer facing interactions

  • Make sure UI’s meet performance needs for the product 


  • Experience Implementing UI’s on a shipped title

  • Fundamental understanding of art creation pipelines, workflows, and tools for UI

  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator

  • General scripting proficiencies such as:

    • Python, Actionscript, etc..

    • Node based scripting such as UE Blueprints

  • Experience with Cross Platform UI development, including meeting TRC/TCR/LotCheck requirements

  • Understanding of general graphic design principles


  • C++ Proficiency

  • Experience in 3D softwares

  • Experience with Adobe After Effects or similar motion graphics softwares

  • Experience with Adobe XD or other user experience design softwares
